About me and my practice

Life often throws a curve ball, making us feel scared or even devastated. We create coping strategies that can become unhealthy or destructive over time.
Counselling helps us to understand our coping mechanisms, stabilise them and find better ways to be in world .
Therapy can be long term or short term, looking at specific areas or a journey of self awareness.

Experience

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor. I have experience with trauma working with SHE.UK working with survivors of abuse.
I spent several years working in FE/ local sports clubs supporting students mental health and as a safeguarding designate.
I started my career at childline with over ten years experience as a counsellor and supervisor.
I am a member of the Scarborough Psychotherapeutic Training Institute
and have regular supervision to ensure I practice ethically.
